The HRDA Scheme
The Human Resource Development Authority of Cyprus actively supports businesses and individuals in enhancing their skills through various training schemes.
This initiative is designed to upgrade the Cypriot workforce and boost professional qualifications in high-priority sectors, including accounting and finance.
The subsidy effectively reduces the cost of participation in ACCA Courses.
- The participating business entity must be registered in Cyprus and making relevant contributions to the Social Insurance and Industrial Training Schemes
- Both the employer and the student (employee) must have an active ERMIS account to manage applications and participation in the scheme.
- Participants must attend at least 75% of the course’s total duration to be eligible for the grant. Participants must use their ERMIS credentials to electronically log in at the start of each session and log out at the end to meet attendance validation requirements.
- Participants must not have attended a similar course in the past two years. This prevents double-funding for essentially the same training content.

What You Need to Know
Usually commence in the 3rd week of January (for the June exams) and in the 3rd week of July (for the December exams) and usually taught on a weekly basis (1-2 times per week), 6:15 – 9:15 pm. Occasionally, Saturday classes might be held from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm (specific details for each course are provided on the timetable).
- Recorded lectures, covering the whole syllabus and helping students revise difficult and key areas of the syllabus at their own pace
- Assumed knowledge videos, recapping any prerequisite topics
- Assessment activities (including online practice questions), helping student identify their strengths and weaknesses in specific areas of the syllabus
- Constructed response questions are available for practice, followed by debrief videos in which an expert tutor solves step-by-step questions emphasising exam technique and time management
- Supplementary student guidance, including Pre-Revision Guidance, Retake Guidance, Syllabus Changes Summary
- CBE software practice area can be used to solve constructed response questions in a real CBE environment
