Programme Overview
To earn the ADIT certificate, students must complete three modules:
- Principles of International Taxation
- Jurisdiction Module
- Thematic Module
A mandatory module for all candidates.
Candidates choose a tax jurisdiction of their preference; we offer the Cyprus Option.
Candidates select a subject area, with the following options available:
- Transfer Pricing
- EU VAT

For June 2026 we offer Jurisdiction Paper_Cyprus Option (Module 2.03)
This module provides tax professionals with an in-depth understanding of the Cyprus tax system, focusing on both domestic legislation and its interaction with international tax principles and EU law. It equips candidates with the technical knowledge and practical skills required to advise on Cypriot tax matters in a cross-border and corporate environment.
The syllabus covers Cyprus income tax, special defence contribution (SDC), capital gains tax, stamp duty, and international tax aspects, including double tax treaties and EU influences. Emphasis is placed on the taxation of companies and individuals, tax residence and domicile concepts, withholding taxes, group relief, reorganisations, and the use of Cyprus as a holding or operational jurisdiction.
Candidates develop the ability to apply legislation to real-world scenarios, assess tax risks, interpret complex provisions, and provide structured, exam-focused advice aligned with professional practice in Cyprus.

To obtain the ADIT certificate, candidates must successfully complete the required exams. Upon earning the ADIT qualification, they will receive a certificate and an invitation to the ADIT Awards Ceremony.
ADIT is a standalone qualification and does not automatically grant CIOT membership. However, holders of the ADIT qualification may apply to become an International Tax Affiliate of the CIOT, which allows candidates the right to use the “ADIT” designation after their name.
All participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance upon completion of the course. This may contribute toward CPD (Continuing Professional Development) requirements, subject to the rules of your professional body.
