Constantinos Kounnis is a Cambridge University graduate with a degree in Economics and a qualified Chartered Accountant. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC). He is also an International Tax Affiliate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) and an active member of ICPAC’s Tax Committee and Transfer Pricing Sub-Committee.
He is an experienced tax practitioner and holds the prestigious ADIT qualification
(Advanced Diploma in International Tax) with Distinction, having ranked among the
top 10 candidates worldwide in 2017. His scripts for two papers—Principles of
International Taxation and EU VAT—have been published by the CIOT as
recommended candidate scripts.
Constantinos began his professional career with Deloitte London, followed by roles at
KPMG Cyprus, where he gained extensive experience in audit, tax, and advisory
services.
He is currently the Managing Director of C. Kounnis & Partners Ltd. As of 2023, he
leads audit engagements for several high-profile clients across a range of industries including hospitality, media, real estate, retail, and finance. He also advises on international tax structuring, corporate reorganisations, and estate planning.
Passionate about learning and development, Constantinos is an approved trainer by the Human Resource Development Authority (HRDA) and a Certified Silva Method Instructor and Coach. He is the founder of Kounnis Academy, which specialises in delivering targeted training programmes that accelerate technical, professional, and digital skills. He also teaches advanced international taxation to ACCA and ADIT students.
In 2024, Constantinos was recognised by the LinkedIn Community as a Top Business Strategy Voice, and he regularly writes on mindful leadership and strategic business topics.
